Taboos and Ladies Love Cool Things launched a successful pop-up shop at The Sidings Waterloo in August 2024.

​Taboos, a pop-up focused events brand and Ladies Love Cool Things, collaborated on a week-long discount sale, of well-known fashion brands, to the delight of hundreds of lucky shoppers.

​One shopper said: "I can't believe what bargains I have found today. I walked by the shop and thought, being in central London that I would be paying high-end boutique prices. The shop looked really nice with artwork. So, I naturally assumed high-prices. But I was pleasantly surprised when I spoke to the gentleman who was running the shop that all items were discounted. I bought some great items just in time for my holidays. I can't wait for the website to launch and find more bargains."

Another happy shopper, who was shopping with her mum, said: "I love shopping. We were just on our way to Oxford Street and found this cute pop-up shop along the way. I am happy I went in, because I found some quality clothes, at great prices. I can't wait for the next pop-up event by Taboos and the launch of Ladies Love Cool Things online shop. Because I definitely love cool things at great prices!

The event ran from 20th-26th August with artwork provided by artist Precious Seronga. "I first met Precious in Brixton, where she was running a pop-up shop at Pop Brixton" said Taboos founder Ade Adeyemi.  

​"I was immediately memorised and hypnotised by her work. The colours are so vivid and brings life into your being. Her work lights up any room, coffee table or item that she chooses as her canvas. I was very pleased when she agreed for us to exhibit her artwork during the pop-up shop, because I believe her theme works well with the item of clothing we were selling."

Ade continued. "I really hope to work with Precious again in the near future. She is a wonderful artist and a gentle soul".
